The Bikery is lucky to have strong core group of volunteers. Here are some of the faces you'll see around the shop.
Aaron Volunteer Lead and Shifter
Aaron is a bike commuter and gravel-seeker from the Great Plains. His three favorite spaces are the shop, the woods, and the kitchen. He doesn’t mind playing bass in the band or in life. Habla español también.
Ella Board Secretary
Ella commutes by bike, races cyclocross, and sometimes goes bike camping (but only for less than 48 hours at a time). She would LOVE to talk to you about bikes under 49cm.
Brian Outreach Lead
Brian didn't learn to ride a bike until late high school and has made up for lost time by riding nearly every day since. He considers biking to be his favorite cross-training for his true passion in life, eating.
Hailing from Israel by way of New York, Ido has been an active cyclist since the age of 16. A Schwinn Certified Spinning instructor and seasoned personal cycling trainer, Ido is passionate about helping others improve their quality of life through physical fitness. In addition to volunteer with the Bikery, Ido volunteers as a snowboard instructor with SOS Outreach, teaching underprivileged children and teenagers how to snowboard. Ido is fluent in Hebrew & English.
Mike Board Memeber and Shifter
Mike enjoys getting lost in remote areas via bicycle, vintage steel, playing instruments loudly, and all things DIY.
Jordan Finance Lead
Jordan is into permaculture, growing and collecting mushrooms, and baking bread. His two greatest loves in life are his cargo bike and his cat Lucifer, who, despite her name, is not actually evil.
Reed Shop Lead and Shifter
Reed loves tour-cycling, making comics, and building compost piles.
Tara Programming Lead
Tara commutes and explores by bike, often while wearing red lipstick. When she's not ramblin' around, she enjoys jazz music, activism, and hanging out with her extra large cat, Alley.
Rez is an avid racer, commuter, and all around bike pleasure seeker who enjoys sharing his love of cycling through friendly hands-on wrenching help.
Renate Shop Host & WTF Co-Lead
Renate enjoys wheeling around the city daily on bike, and is an expert at taking bikes apart! Talk to her about teal bikes and granny gears and her women's bike gang. Sie spricht Deutsch (rad is German for bike!).
