WTF Nite: Racing Edition

  • The Bikery 845 Hiawatha Place South Seattle, WA, 98144 United States (map)

Ready to Race? Ready to be Ready to Race?! Terrified to race but strangely fascinated by it anyway?!

Ella and Rachel will be on hand to answer your questions about starting to race bicycles. Between the two of them they have experience in cyclocross, road, crits, cross country mtb, gravel racing, a tiny bit of track, and a smidge of enduro. Don't know what any of those words mean? That's ok!

We can cover bike set up, how to find races, registration, what all that USAC stuff is about, nutrition, logistic, hot tips for pinning your number, what are teams all about, and basically anything else.

The shop will be open for regular WTF wrenching too, of course!

About WTF Nights:
WTF nights are special drop-in hours held once a month at the Bikery. These nights are a space for all people who identify as women, trans, femme, and non-binary to work on bicycles and connect with one another in a supportive environment.

No previous knowledge is necessary, we all learn and teach together!

Bicycle maintenance has been an overwhelmingly cismale-dominated area. The Bikery aims to empower individuals who have been marginalized or intimidated in bike work spaces to gain knowledge and confidence in a welcoming environment.

If you are not women, trans, femme, non-binary identified, please be an ally by visiting The Bikery during regular hours.

Suggested $5-10 donation for stand time and tool use helps us keep our doors open.
